Is little tokyo in los angeles safe

If you like architecture/great interior spaces, this is a beauty. If you go to Olvera Street, make sure to walk across the street to the nearby Union Station, LA's great old train station. La Golondrina has pretty good food (not fantastic, but quite tasty), and is popular with people who work downtown as well as tourists. And there are often Mexican bands or other entertainment in the adjacent plaza with the huge old trees. It is one of the tourist attractions that is virtually unchanged over 50 years or more.

Even the stalls of Mexican "crafts" and cheap Chinese-made toys are fun. I think Olvera Street is fun and has some interesting things to look at.
